I have always been an avid reader, enjoying many different genres. But my writing journey started much later in life. Characters, scenes, and plot lines suddenly filled my mind and I felt compelled to write.
At the same time, blogs and self-publishing opportunities were just beginning to emerge. It was an exciting time! As a new writer, with no real education in the world of writing or publishing, I did everything wrong! I self-published four books on Amazon without the benefit of an editor, a book launch, or any marketing plan whatsoever.
I've learned a lot in the last twenty years. And am still learning as the industry trends evolve and change.
